Nice pics Norm - I'd like to learn how you get the GPS data and do the mapping.

Re: Three Cornered Pond 10-13-13
This pond is along the road from HQ to College Pond, but no launch. We had to cross over a wooden guard rail and down a slope to gain access. The pond with launch & parking is New Long Pond, along the same road, but sooner. Quiet water, very nice. The best pond by far is East Head, right at HQ. ...

Three Cornered Pond 10-13-13
On Sunday, my wife Jean and I traveled down to Miles Standish State Forest to paddle Three Cornered Pond. Some photos here plus links to Flicker below for more. 3CP_MSSF_003.JPG It's a small but interesting pond with no real launch area, but we made do. There is a nice beach area along the north sh...

We went back to East Head Pond this past weekend, which is always filled with wildlife and nice scenery. Beautiful late September afternoon in Miles Standish State Forest. Some photos on Flickr if interested at link below.

New Long Pond 09-15-13
We spent a few hours paddling New Long Pond at Miles Standish State Forest on Sunday. This is near East Head Pond, but hadn't paddled there. It's a nice small pond, not a lot going on for wildlife. It was a pretty September afternoon, with the Fall colors just starting. Some pics at the link below. ...

Indian Head River Launch 09-07-13
Yesterday afternoon, my son Alex and I launched from Indian Head River in Hanover, to travel down the North River to the Washington St bridge, which we had heard about and read about (mostly from WTP folks). It was near high tide (about 3 hours after Damon Point) and the upriver current under the br...

Re: 09-05-13 Thursday Evening Paddle
Hey Norm, nice to meet you also, and a few of the folks there. We'll definitely be asking questions and getting to know folks. Hopefully we can come to Hingham Harbor soon, although we won't go way out. I think we caught the bug, went out today and probably tomorrow. We were on Indian Head River com...

09-05-13 Thursday Evening Paddle
Went out with my son Alex for a paddle after work today, thought we'd try the pond at Camp Kiwani for the first time - it's a few miles from the house. And who do we run into... Re: Day Trip - East Head Reservoir 8-30-13
Hi, thanks! These photos were taken with a Canon T4i and a 18-135 kit lens. The T4i is an "entry level" to the better DSLR consumer cameras, but is enough camera for most people, including me. I have been very happy with the results, having started more "serious" photography only...

Day Trip - East Head Reservoir 8-30-13
Hi, new yaker here and new member to WTP too. Here is a trip report for East Head Reservoir on Friday August 30, 2013. East Head is located on the western side of Miles Standish State Park, on the Plymouth/Carver line. East_Head_Kayak_13-08-30_0305_WTP.JPG My wife, son, and I drove down in the earl...
