2018 Thursday Evening Paddling Schedule

It seems there has been confusion a few times already this year about where the Thursday evening paddle would be, Hingham or Hanson. So, a suggestion was made by Romaine that we should put up a schedule to help solve the problem. Romaine looked up the tide and sunset times and made a nice chart whic...

Re: Skills July14

I am planning to be there. I was there Tuesday night this week and got to see the new docks they have installed this year. I was there late, around 6:00pm, and the beach had already closed but the life-guards were there cleaning up till about 7:00. They no longer have a rope for swimmers beyond the ...

Re: Hingham - Thursday, July 5th

I'm new to this. Where exactly is the meeting spot? We meet in the Hingham Town Boat Ramp parking lot which is at: 3 Otis St, Hingham, MA 02043 There is a nice sandy beach beside the ramp that we launch from. It is best to park clear of the boat ramp traffic area. There is usually plenty of parking...

Hingham - Thursday, July 5th

Is anybody planning to paddle in Hingham this Thursday? High tide is around 5:30pm.

Looks like it will be a nice evening but might be a little breezy again. At least there are no thunderstorms in Thursday's forecast right now...

I'll try to be there by 4:30, but might be more like 5:00.

Hingham - Thursday, June 21

Who is paddling in Hingham this Thursday? Looks like it will be a nice evening, hopefully less windy than last time.

I'll try to be there by 4:30, but might be more like 5:00.

Will more people come if we start later? There's plenty of daylight right now.

Four of us paddled in Hingham on the 7th - Joy, Eileen, Romaine and Norm. It was a bit windy once we got away from the beach - wind blowing out, so return was going to be hard. Plan was to go around World's End. There was an interesting sky all evening with light beams coming through the clouds. I d...

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I'm surprised you chose to use your Cetus rather than your Seda. I agree with Jordan about the NRS Boundary boots for cold water. They are about 14” high , so you can usually get in the boat without getting water in your boot.

This year's sunset moonrise paddle shrunk to only four paddlers at the last minute this year. The weather was fantastic.
