it's me, cat, i am new to the site and to kayaking,
looking for a quiet ride sometime in next two weeks, late afternoon,
thursday afternoon at 4 pm i am going to kayak somewhere, to celebrate the end of a grueling summer school session, thinking about ames nowell state park,
anyone?

new kayaker, i'm in middleboro, not adventurous yet, good availability starting thursday when summer school is done. days, evenings, weekends. i like to stay within 1/2 hour or so of my town. i reallly want to get to ames nowell, does anyone know if the water level is back up?

something i found out from deb is that if you kayak across lake rico there's a nice beach, i actually saw it but didn't approach, thinking it was private.

johnboy, how easy is abington for you? i have been wanting to try ames lowell state park, a friend told me it's nice but i haven't been yet. it looks about 30 minutes for me, thought it might be a halfway spot? i am still just a pond kayaker, but a friend is encouraging me to try hingham harbor. cat

i am brand new, looking for kayaking buddy for ponds only till i get sea legs. prefer to stay close to home, carver pond in bridgewater and massasoit are the only places i've seen but open to within about 1/2 hour from middleboro. i will be going to skills in hanson. i am free 4ish on M-F and weeken...
