Thanks for detailing the trip Craig...very accurate. We really lucked out and got pretty good weather considering the questionable forecasts. As the rookie, I learned a good lesson about gathering into a group to make channel crossings all together and watching out for those big, fast commuter boats...

Planning to be there for the first time. On vacation this week so I should be able to attend the PPR. I'd like to buy the first round since I couldn't make it last week, to thank everyone for all the tips and support at the Hanson skills session.

New member looking for advice on buying a day touring boat. I've been paddling in rivers and lakes with 9.5' rec boats for a few years and now I want to move up to coastal rivers and bays. I'm 6' tall and about 210 pounds. Not much money to spend - want to stay under $1000. So, I'm considering 14.5'...
