It was a fun, if chilly, day. If you don't think whitewater is the "dark side", then explain who the guy on the right is in this picture from Bea's album:

I'm with Ken, but if you must have beer, how about beer can outriggers, fastened end to end with duct tape? The beer stays cold in the water and it doubles as a safety device. Let's get our engineers working on this.

Norm, I saw your comment about Brown's Bank possibly disappearing or something over the winter? Brown's Bank is mentioned in William Bradford's "History of Plymouth plantation 1620-1647", references as early as 1635. At that time it had tree stumps on it. It seems to have some permanence, ...

Yes, something will definitely happen. There are no full moons conveniently located on a Friday night, but we can certainly get out for a nice evening. If anyone ever wants to do a skills session in a place with a little more dynamic water, we could put it together. Either out by the new inlet in Scituate, or down by little harbor in Cohasset. It's a little different doing rescues and what not if there are waves and or current. New inlet would be ...

Contrary to some who might criticize you, I think that is a legitimate strategy, especially in benign conditions. Being well-practiced in assisted rescues cannot be anything but an asset.

I will refrain from making this an essay on risk homeostasis, etc.
