Increased "posts per page" to 40
I hate having to go from page to page, so I increased the number of posts per page from 15 to 40.

By "also", do you mean that you'll do that instead of Hingham? Personally, I'd like to do Hingham.

Re: Sweet Cart!
Dave wrote:So I guess this is for portaging?
It probably could be used for portaging, but my primary use would be to get from the car to the water. Sometimes it's a bit of a walk.

What do you think the max weight capacity is? Well, it handled my 55 lb kayak without any trouble at all. Then I sat in the kayak while it was on the cart and... er... the capacity is somewhere between 55 lb and 240 lb. I'm kidding. I really don't know. It seemed very sturdy, but I was only ...

My new homebuilt cart
First of all, this is NOT my design. It's pretty much a direct copy from here. I made a few minor modifications. Some of the PVC joints aren't glued, so the cart comes apart for easy storage in the yak. http://www.wtpaddle...

I've posted Steve's text for the trip report, but I've got some "real" work that I've got to get done, so I'll try to get hist photos inserted later today. Right now, Sue is out buying the makings for my next kayak cart, so the least I can do is be productive and earn so...

I hadn't been adding much to that page, because I felt that a page on a spot should be pretty comprehensive, and I only know a few areas well. I know the North and South Rivers end to end. Duxbury Bay would be a good addition, but I've only been on the one paddle going up one creek, so I'm hardly an...

Oops - I was in such a rush to get the forum set up, I inadvertantly configured it to allow non-members to post. That's fixed now. Like I said, I apologize if my questions are ignorant and this sort of thing has been taken care of already. I realize I'm a new and all, I'm only concerned that the fol...

Re: This weekend
Then we'll shoot accross Dochester Harbor, perhaps have a bite to eat at McCormack Bath House on Malibu Beach, or Sully's out at Castle Island. I love the idea of paddling someplace to eat. Generally, we're in the middle of nowhere, and we pb&j it. I think it'd be great fun to pull up someplace...

Paddle floats
I've done a little looking around the net, and it seems that paddle floats are $40. Sometimes you can find a website that has them as low as $39.95, but that's it. Is that pretty much the going rate? Seems like a lot of money for 50 cents worth of plastic.

Are we on for Neponset river tomorrow after work? I would be interested. Should we carpool Pat?
Yes and yes. I'm guessing it'll take about 40 min from Marshfield if traffic is perfect, so we'll have to give enough extra time for traffic.
