Y'know Chip, I hate to have to point this out, but this trip really smacks of sausages. Can you fit your small grill in your boat? If not, I wonder if there are any teensy tiny grills available.

What do you think the max weight capacity is? Well, it handled my 55 lb kayak without any trouble at all. Y'know what I think I'd like to get - one of those longish bags with a drawstring that comes with a folding chair or tent. It'd almost be worth it to spend the five bucks to get a decent bag and throw the chair away. :)

My new homebuilt cart

First of all, this is NOT my design. It's pretty much a direct copy from <a href="http://www.westcoastpaddler.com/building/thumbnails.php?album=2">here</a>. I made a few minor modifications. We got permission from the owner to use the main beach at Curlew Pond, but if that is too far of a drive for people, we change change the location. I'm totally flexible on the starting time.

I've done a little looking around the net, and it seems that paddle floats are $40. Sometimes you can find a website that has them as low as $39.95, but that's it. Is that pretty much the going rate? Seems like a lot of money for 50 cents worth of plastic.
