Yep, I just checked 4 different weather sites, all had wildly different forecasts for Weds, from 20% to 80% chance of rain !!! Thursdays was all consistent, so lets aim to launch by 9am on Thursday. Ice cream is open every day !!

Gif, Prince Cove Marina is just off Rt28. there are now traffic lights at the intersection of Rt28 and Rt149, you go south at these lights on Prince Ave and follow for +/- 0.5 mile and the marina is on the left. Its run by Barnstable town. Cost $8 to park for the day

The plan is to paddle from Whites Landing (Washburn Island area) to the north end of Osterville Grand Island area. Time permitting we can duck into Popponesset Bay and circle the island and/or loop round Dead Neck (weather permitting) I'm aiming for a 9am launch but we will need to shuttle vehicles....

Norm, I did the same on mine, to experiment use this styrofoam insulation from home depot... m They make a 1" thick sheet same size for about $8. At least you can mess about with it to see if you like it without buying expensive minicell foam So far mine has lasted last fall, my everglades trip...

Sounds like the New Inlet or Scituate Harbor maybe the best of the bunch. Only problem is I don't know where New Inlet is !!!! why would anyone want to try boating skills in a pond filled with large bounders? I don't know what a bounder is, but if you meant "boulder" there aren't any in the pond at Camp Kiwanee, so I suspect you may be going to the wrong pond. If you're from England, like me, a "bounder"...
