A nice location for a windy day paddle, lots of activity out there, too. Your new camera seems to be agreeing with you, just like your boat. Glad your new toys are working out!

The Charles River was a good choice for taking advantage of another warm, but breezy, Fall weekend. I'm always glad to get out there and paddle with you all. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more mild weekend weather as long as we can get it.

Hey All,
Norm, thanks once again for documenting another fun day! I'm looking forward to the next time we can all get together to paddle, or if Bea has her way, to CC ski! Jordan, if I could come out of the water as fast as you, I wouldn't need a dry suit. Glad your shoulder is back in business.

Norm, that would be an excellent option, but for a longer paddle I would have to find a babysitter. Possible, but not guaranteed.

It definitely looks like it would be worth getting the free sample to see if it works as advertised. If so, it would be something I would be willing to try over the winter. I was thinking about getting a keel strip anyway. Thanks for the post.

Thanks Norm, for the lift and another good paddle regardless of the less-than-brilliant foliage. It still looked pretty from our vantage point on the river. Thanks also to Skip for ferrying us all to the put-in.

Re: Foliage Paddle This Weekend - Charles River - 10/16/11
Hi all,
I just got in from a trip to the Cape and on the way home the serpentine belt broke in my car. I made it home, but won't be taking it anywhere tomorrow. My husband and I are going to try and load my kayak on his truck to see if I can take that.
Update in a few minutes, wish me luck.
