Re: Monomoy trip, Thursday 25th June 2015

I'm not suggesting that you organize a separate shortie trip. I can tag along on the long trip and just take a shortcut.

Weekdays are fine with me. I'll just tell my boss I have to go to the store for something and hope that she doesn't see the kayak on my roof.

Cohasset Little Harbor and Minot Light *CANCELLED*

I'm sorry folks, but my foot is taking way to long to heal. I just don't think I'm going to be ready to do this in a couple of weeks. This is always a favorite trip of mine, but I haven't been in a few years, and I believe it qualifies as my submission for Bea's challenge. July 29 is a Wednesday. N...

Re: Camp Kiwanee

Thanks, Skip.

Once every year, we have a training session and get there to find that there's no parking due to some event that is being held there - a multi-town swimming competition or something. I wonder if we can find out when that is and have the training at an alternate location on that night.

then I will post another Monomoy trip later in the season. About that later-in-the-season trip... For those of us who feel a little out of their depth paddling 20 miles in potentially challenging currents, could a subset of us wimps join the trip but hang at the bottom of Sand Island or someplace w...

I've taken a navigation class but have never had to put it to good use. What I've learned is likely very stale and I'd love to get in on this.

If I'm going to wear cold water gear, I'd much prefer that the air be cool as well. When the water is cold, but it's in the mid-80's, I roast in that dry top.

This building was under construction last year and it's interesting to see it finished.

What is going on with this building??? It looks like an optical illusion. Is there a cut taken out of the center of it, or is that some sort of statue between you and it?

I did a surf class with you a couple years ago, and I'd definitely be interested in doing that again if you run it. Or rock gardens. I might take you up on the plastic boat offer before I'd tear up my new boat.

2015/2016 Bea's Trip-posting challenge!

Yesterday at the pool sessions, I was chatting with Bea who gave me a great idea. She said that many of the regulars are posting trips underground, which has left the Upcoming Trips section a little bare. Back in 2013, Norm became the "Trip DuJour" leader, and I think a lot of us got a lit...
