Well, Nelson.
Yesterday, all I wanted to do was to drop off some WORK for Pat.
But he said PADDLE, PADDLE.........so that was the end of the workday for me!

Hi guys. The thing what looked really good was the price tag. $1600 (down from $2600).........At least I can look back knowing that Chip and Pat guided me in the right direction. And Todd, you are asking me what I am looking at. I hope to improve my skills this year, and I really would love to learn...

Dear Craig. I fully agree with you. You have to take the plunge! I do it all the time. That's how I live my life. And that is why it is helpful to have a sensible person put things in perspective sometimes. This would be my third kayak, and I am looking for a perfect fit. A kayak I can "wear". So I ...

Hi Sue. I am impressed how well you handled the situation. Mud baths are supposed to be good for the skin. Have you noticed a difference? Would you recommend this paddle to anyone? Should we bring a pruing tool if we go? I guess one thing we can learn from this is that it is always good to kayaking ...

Todd, The plan is to ski every mountain and kayak every river by age 50. I have about 10 weeks to reach my goal. You missed it......didn't you? On our trip we will be working on rescue skills etc. After that I will be able to join Pat, Chip, Nelson and all the other "dark side" paddlers. It was fun ...

Hi Todd. With my history of getting caught in fisihing lines etc, I might be a tasty snack for an aligator. I bet the aligators have never tasted a Norwegian muscle before..........(no comments CHIP!.........I know you are dying to say something) We will be kayaking with the aligators.....that is if...

Hi Steve. Below is a copy of an e-mail about the trip. Karen, Joann and I play to fly out Saturday 22 and stay over night in Ft. Meyers. As you can see there is a meeting 1/3/2006 to plan the trip (and collect $$$deposit). Anyone interested in hearing about the trip is welcome to that meeting (even ...

Kayaking the Everglades with Marshfield Rec
Hi guys. Ned and Doug are putting on a one week kayaking trip in the Everglades ( Florida) from Jan 23-29, 2006. They have done these trips for 15 years, so these guys really know what they are doing. So far 5 of us have signed up, and they need 6 people (max. 8). Are any of you wild Turkeys interes...

Hi guys. Great photos Steve. I liked the one with one Pidgeon and 1000 gulls! Sorry I missed you. Realized Sunday night that the sticker on the kids car expired 10 days ago, so I spent my afternoon at gas station. I just could not send them to school in the car today knowing the the sticker was no g...

So what do you think? Should we say Duxbury Bay is a go? If so, let's try and lauch from the Powder Point bridge around 5:15 pm tonight - 5:30 at the latest. Don't know if we should try and paddle up the Back River (might not have enought water) or out in to the bay. Makes no difference to me. This ...

Sunset paddle Thursday Oct 6
Hi guys.
It is supposed to be a beautiful day tomorrow (Thursday Oct 6). Anyone up for a sunset paddle? We could meet at the Driftway around 5:15 pm or so and go out to the Spit.
Duxbury Bay is also an easy launch, but I don't think there will be enough water there.
Any takers?
Bea

Hi guys. What a day yesterday! You guys really locked out weatherwise. Thanks for sharing all the great photos. We had a great day too. 6 women lauched from the Driftway. Kayaked out to the Spit and up the South River. Took a quick break in Humarock by Roger's workshop, and continued on almost up to...

Hi guys. I have plans for part of Columbus day weekend, but if my time is not spoken for I would love to join you. Will not know until last minute. Hi Todd. Yes, Sue and I paddled out to the Spit with you and other Wild Turkeys over the summer............remember? The day Steve took his sailboat out... Hi Todd and all. Thank you for the skill level info for Sunday's trip. My plan for summer 2005 was to work on wet exits etc, but of course that did not happen. I spent a lot of time in the kayak on Lake Winnepeasake, but mostly sunbathing from it in the middle of the cove. It was very relaxing, but ...
