Hey Pablo, Although I have not used these guys, they are highly recommended in any Baja guidebook m I rode my motorcycle down Baja a few years ago and had planned on doing some kayaking but it was too windy. I think from memory Dec, Jan and Feb are too windy for kayaking, you had better check out th...

I use one of those Kokatat ones that clip onto the back of a Kokatat PFD. It is a 50 oz capacity. The actual bladder that came with the "pack" was really crap so I use a 50oz camelbak bladder that I already had which I use on my bike. I drain it and store it open when not in use, so no big...

Yes, I am still trying to circumnavigate Cape Cod, in fact, 364 days ago Norm Kate and I paddled around the Monomoy peninsula and had to portage to get back to the put in. Since then a convenient gap has opened up and no more portaging is required ! I had been watching for decent weather and managea...

Norm, I thought about a liner once, just to keep the sleeping bag cleaner, they say that over time body oils etc can have an effect on the sleeping bag insulation. So I made one from an old bedsheet just to try it, before shelling out $$$$. It was OK if you weren't in the sleeping bag, say on a hot ...

Chip, The dehydrator is a lot of work before you go on the trip, but when you're sitting out on a beach in the middle of nowhere enjoying a fine tequila or whatever and it only takes a few minutes for a one pot dinner, with only your cookpot/bowl and a fork to wash up, thats when the work pays off !...

Monomoy's New Break. Tues Feb 26th 2013
I had a new GPS to try out, the weather forecast was good and there was a new break in the barrier beach down on Momomoy, as if things couldn't get any better, the tides were also perfect for a short morning spin on the water. These booties are on sale at NRS.
I like them because the sole rubber extends up above the ankle on the outside which is where all previous booties have worn thru. Order over $75 and shipping is free.
