Skeg Tips
Hi Lance, As Mark mentioned, try to make sure there's no mechanical jam up before being assertive with the cable. The other thing to dry is flushing the cable, it's possible salt has built up, dried and bound the cable somewhat. This is my 5th season with my Tempest 170 and I've had pretty good luck...

See you on the 31st
Hi Peg, Our paddling sensei Mark called my Tempest 170 a "ROLLING MACHINE", when he tried my boat! He then quickly sold his Surge for a much more agile sea machine. I have no doubt you will love the way your boat rolls. If we have some good weather, I'm sure there will be no shortage of people or th...

Lots of Wardrobe Info but no takers for Tonight
Hi Gang, From the lack of enthusiasm, I gather it's still too early in the season for most to venture into Kiwanee this evening. Let's try this again on Thursday the 31st. Cheers, Jordan PS. Bear in mind, Kiwanee is still much warmer than the ocean most of you have already been paddling.

Hi Skip,
Thanks for reporting the temp in Kiwanee! It is higher than I expected and about as good as it gets for mid May.

LMAO
Based on Pat's Assesment of water temp, I should think cold water attire is appropriate, as well as a changing stall with a door that locks LOL
I believe the temperature will be in the low to mid 60's.

We can try to help with everything, including wrestling with the 60lb plastic beast (and winning). Seriously though there is a couple tricks...

Hi Joyce, Boat selection is such a hot topic amongst all of us kayakers. The only way to pick the right boat for you, is to first determine where, and how you wish to paddle. A kayak is like any other tool, usually there's a right one for the right application. Depending on your skill level and desi...

Hi Peg, In my humble opinion a dry suit is a pretty tough item to be comfortable in. In hindsight I wish I had never purchased my KOKOTAT. I much prefer the dry top with a pair of dry pants. I find the top allows a much more comfortable fit and eliminates the whole zipper from hell problem. I bought...

Another couple outlets
Here's a couple places that print and embroider tees.
http://www.corporatecasuals.com/default.aspx
http://cheapestees.com/
The first place had a reasonable $65 dollar set up fee for the pattern, and offered Synthetic shirts to customize.
A couple ideas to consider.

Wild Beast for the Feast
Mark,
You know I like to bring ampling grilling items to satisfy the carnivore in all of us . I may even have some venison steaks to add some variety too.
Already looking forward to feast. I think all the boats and gear are just a segway to the PPPO LOL.
