Nope. Smaller sailboat that is easier to rig and launch from a trailer.

Re: AMC Circumnavigation of Newcastle Island April 6th

I'm on the fence about giving it a try. I'd like to get out locally a few times first. But all these skiers keep praying for snow. Should be a good spring for the whitewater folks... Norm, Ron and I were up in that area a testing out P&H Boats. It was a nice area that I wouldn't mind checking o...

Browns Bank: July 29th 2012

Finally got around to putting together the video I took on Browns Bank last summer. Eileen posted the trip and Ron and I went with her. The day was overcast but the paddling was easy if you stayed in the deep water. The band 3rd Left was out on the bank putting on a show and the crappy weather didn'...

Re: Buffing out hull marks

I've had good luck with the magic sponge. Works great. No buffing required. Are you talking about the Magic Eraser? If so, I tried one of those and it started to turn orange like the finish of my boat. There's some potent stuff in those things. Yes, that's what I mean. I have not had that problem w...

Phil Connors, one of my favs. Winter, slumbering in the open air, wears on its smiling face a dream... of spring. Ciao. Wow, that's a long way from "Dude, it's a twist off" But I'm happy to see it's becoming just as legendary. To be associated in the same post with Bill Murray is pretty a...

Re: Harbor Island Off Season Photo Contest

Norm, here's a good reason for a winter paddle. Not good enough a reason to go out in this weather! I think I'll wait till a day when it's at least 40 degrees air temp and light winds. I have a feeling I may miss a month or two of paddling this winter if it's going to stay this cold. Thanks! Well a...
