Re: Squantum Point Park - Ok For Kayak Launch?
I had an hour to kill this afternoon before a meeting at Marina Bay so I explored Squantum point. I did find what looks to be a great spot. It was close to high tide when I was there, however looking at the satellite image it appears that it might be inaccessible except at high tides. There is plent...

Kit and I are interested. You do realize that the full moon is Friday.
We can do either Friday or Saterday night
Friday, Low tide is 6:02 pm and it is an extreme low (-0.24 feet), Sun set is 7:17 pm
Saturday, low tide is 6:48 pm, also an extreme low (-0.28 feet), Sun set is 7:15 pm

Re: Hull to Graves Lighthouse and Georges Is. 8/25/12 8:00
That is real odd because I recognize at least three of those saw tooth spikes as exactly where we did stop for boat traffic and to regroup. There is one mid-way to Little Brewster where we waited for boats prior to crossing the channel, one where we waited for the lobster boat after we cleared Outer...

Re: Looking for a group paddle this sunday
If you do head out in Plymouth bay this weekend be very conscientious of the time/tide, low tide will be at 3:30pm.
The most popular launch spot is at Stevens field, however it is not accessible +/- 2 hours of most low tides due to mud flats.

I just found out that I will have a fairly newbie with me. She paddled several times with me last year. If she is not keeping up don’t feel that you have to slow down for her. I will drop off and she and I will continue at her pace.

Jordan, thanks for the input. I will add the additional ½” per side and see what that does for me. I guess I have always made up for the butt movement by over compensating with my legs. I will try to set me schedule so that i can make it to hingham next week or at least to Hanson in 2.

How Tight is Right?
After the Thursday night outing in Hanson I begin to think about what was not happening correctly in my hip snapping skills. I realized that my hips are shifting more than 2 inches left to right in the seat when the boat is perpendicular to the water. I found that when sitting in the perpendicular p...
