International Film Tour - June 26 or 27

The International Film Tour is playing at 2 theaters this year - Arlington,MA or Newport, RI. I got tickets for the Arlington showing and the service charges are ridiculous - $6.50 service fee for each ticket and then they charge you $1.50 if you want to print out the tickets yourself instead of pic...

Re: Hingham Thursday June 7th

I may try to make it to Hingham this week if I can get out of work early enough and if I can get my boat onto my car. Got a bit of a problem with arthritis bothering me lately and not completely sure I can lift my boat onto the roof. I guess I could just hook up the trailer...if the lights still wor...

Re: Watertribe Event in Florida

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. I'm surprised you chose to use your Cetus rather than your Seda. Was that because the Cetus has the convenient front hatch or was it for better stability across Tampa bay? Next question is - now that you've had a taste of the event, do you have any desire ...

Reel Paddling Film Festival - April 26, 2018 7:00pm

Charles River Canoe and Kayak is hosting the Reel Paddling Film Festival on April 26th at 7:00pm. Cost is $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Proceeds go to support the Northern Forrest Canoe Trail. There are always a lot of giveaways at intermission at this event. Last year they gave out a couple hi...

I agree with Jordan about the NRS Boundary boots for cold water. They are about 14” high , so you can usually get in the boat without getting water in your boot.

I'm hoping that parking at the Cohasset town boat ramp is still open to non-residents after Labor Day and I'd like to take advantage of the convenient parking now that summer is over. (33 Parker Ave., Cohasset in the GPS gets you close.) Plan to arrive at 9:30am and launch at 10:00am. High tide is a...

Weather looks pretty nice for Thursday evening, except it might be a little breezy on the return leg.

High Tide is at 3:21 PM.

5:30 ish Launch Time.

Please RSVP so we know who's paddling, and whether or not you wish to go to STARS after for PPR.

See you Thursday.

Sunset / Moonrise Paddle July 2017

This year's sunset moonrise paddle shrunk to only four paddlers at the last minute this year. The weather was fantastic. The bugs were horrific - little no-see-ums or sand flees or something ate me alive and I'm still scratching 3 days later. Bea was properly prepared with a light, hooded jacket and...

Nancy - 5:30 should be fine. There won't be too much rush to get launched. Have you done this paddle before? Be prepared for getting muddy at the put-in.

By the way, this trip is also now posted in the "Upcoming trips" forum. Sorry for the confusion everyone.
