question about the forums...changing my user name

Post by bikepete »

Hi...I'm wondering about changing my user name and/or removing it from the posts that are up in my name. Is this something which is possible?

Peter,

I'm sure that Pat can answer this best, but I would start by logging on, and using the menu (here it is up above, FAQ, Search, Memeberlist, profile., etc.), and enter the profile section. There, I think you can make any change to your profile you wish.

Peter,

If you click on the "profile" link at the top of the page, it will allow you to change your username. Once that's done, all posts made by you will be posted by the new name you give.

If/when you do change your name, be sure that the email address is correct, because it might email you for confirmation of the change.

Thanks for asking that question Peter - I was curious about changing usernames since someone (I think it was Nelson) mentioned he thought my username stood for New Hampshire Cabby! I've changed from "nhcabi" to "norm".

Naaa, I was thinking of using "abinorm" but why not just keep it as simple as possible - life is complicated enough.
