Hope I did this right to be able to just click on it... but if not copy and paste... it's worth it!

THANKS, LINDA, FOR THE SITE REF & HOT LINK CONNECTION

Post by Scupper Pro Frank »

I actually visited this site quite a while back, then forgot about this part of it as I was searching for my next (6th current one, eighth overall) boat on other parts of the site. Was referred to by an upstate NY paddler.

At any rate, went to their bracing & rolling sections, and it looks like I may have one of the better visual aids to help me finally get a roll to where it works better than 5% of the time...!

I'll be practicing off Virginia Key when it gets warm enough for me -I can't stand cold water -around 80oF or so. Right now it's around 72-75, and that's just a tad too chilly.

But I thank you greatly for reminding me of the site and it's fine resources! I'll hopefully learn a few more things, and maybe even get a roll this summer, as I

Yeah, I'm with you.... those 70 degree temps must really suck.

A little historical perspective from last season....... Boston Harbor never saw 70+ temperatures. We had to go south to see 70+ for the few trips that were located in Buzzards Bay.

I think it was only the Padanaram, Weepeckets, and Tobey Island trip that gave us our only warm water destination trips.

Look on the bright side, Boston Harbor is currently ~ 38 degrees, that's only 20-25 away from most of the group jumping in to their boats.

 Have a great weekend.

Three years ago yesterday I surfed at sunrise in 36 degree water off Nantasket Beach. I also had a swim that morning. Brrrr!!

Yesterday's 41 degree water in Rhode Island Sound was downright balmy!
