Howzabout some flatwater - Oct 8? 9? 10? (Cancelled)

Post by pat »

I was thinking that it might be nice to get a crew together for a flatwater trip on Columbus Day weekend. We've got three days to choose from, so maybe we could talk about who is available when and then narrow down the best day. and time.

High tide is late in the afternoon, which isn't great for a North River trip. Other possibilities might be the Nemasket in Middleboro, the Blackstone near Woonsocket, RI, the Concord or Ipswich rivers.

Any takers? When is good (or bad) for you?

I'll check my schedule. I think it would be fun. Maybe my son would like to go on this one. More likely the 9th or 10th for me.

I definitely want to do the Concord. I have a wedding that Sunday down the freakin' Cape (open bar though so I can deal with it) and we're staying overnight. Saturday is best but I may be able to do a later Monday.

If this one is expected to be at a casual pace, maybe I can bring the family in the canoe.

Definitely casual. We're gonna drive Nelson crazy. Maybe we could take away his paddle and give him a 2x4.

A keowee is a 9.5 foot pumpkin seed rec boat. Tracks like a windmill.

Hi guys.

I have plans for part of Columbus day weekend, but if my time is not spoken for I would love to join you. Will not know until last minute.

My husband gave me a beautiful new paddle for our 19th wedding anniversary on Aug 30 (Don't ask me the name - I think it is like yours Todd). The sad thing is that I have not even had a change to try it yet!! Got a skirt too.

To plan the trip, we need to know WHAT parts of the weekend are taken.

Hi Pat and all.

Saturday and Sunday are definately out for me. Monday is a good chance, but don't plan anything around me, as I never know what the day brings with two teenage daugthers in the house. My time might be spoken for without me even knowing it.

Not enough people available at the same time, so I think I'm going to bag this trip.
