Overnight paddle recommendations
Some friends and I are looking to do a 3-4 day flatwater canoe trip in the New England area in early September. The ideal would be the ability to camp along the way. Any recommendations?
How about Maine:

You can't go wrong.
So many great places out there. One of my favorite flatwater canoe paddles is Flagstaff Lake in Maine, great open ridge hiking too, on the Bigelow mountains. This area is also home to (originally, I think) Carrabasett Ale, a mighty fine ale if you like sweet hops, not green hops like that foo-foo Magic Hat. Ah, crisp autumn air, a single malt scotch and the smell of spruce. Good luck and have fun wherever you choose.
