Hingham 8/21

Post by kayakerjnj »

Hi Thursday Regulars (and you irregulars  )

Is there any interest in moving up the start to 5:30 due to the earlier sunsets?

I'm good either way as I will likely be there at 4:30 along with the other early birds.

Have a great week both on an off the water.

Cheers,

Jordan

Mark is going to pick me up at the Braintree T and we'll come from there. It will probably be closer to 6 for us. We'll catch up to you... :)

I plan to be there in plenty of time to take off at 5:30, so I'll go along with whatever the general consensus is for departure...

I'm planning on coming this week too and I am planning to be ready to go by 5:30pm (as long as no emergencies come up at work before hand that is). Hope other recreational types will be there for a slower paced/shorter paddle too. If not, I'm am prepared to explore the area alone ;)

RSVP for Stars for PPR

I'm in!

PS, for all our newer Thursday participants, please post your attendance for the PPR, as we typically try to make reservations.

If I can get back from an appointment in Brockton in time, I will be there. Don't wait for me, if I'm late I can flounder around in the harbor.

Put me down for Stars also.

Well, here I go again: I may...or may not...be there.

What a surprise. :P

This potential excuse takes the cake: http://www.burningman.com. Son # 2 just last night announced that he's flying out tomorrow morning to join son #1 out at UC Berkeley to make their 3rd pilgrimage to the annual whatever-it-is in the high desert of Nevada. Makes me want to dig up my old hippie clothes and join them...but I'm clearly not cool enough.

Long story made short: I may not have a set of wheels to get over there in time. But I'm gonna try....

Nelson -

Kath and I will be there tonight to make sure speed-impaired paddlers are represented. If it's not too late to include us in the reservations for Stars, please do.

Thanks. See you all tonight. Looks like ti's going to eb a beauty of an evening!

Chip's on vacation this week, and Ron is on vacation forever. They're both down at camp and out of www range, so it's possible they might just show up.

Sorry, guys, I would have liked to have gone tonight, but I was taking my mom out for a birthday dinner. As mentioned in another thread, I'd like to do weekend skills sessions or a weekend paddle somewhere. I teach and coach, so my weekday nights are pretty full.

Hopefully I'll be able to get the kayak out a few more times before the season ends!
