Wild Turkey Paddlers

Next gathering will be pot luck on Saturday evening around 5pm at 84 Westover Pkwy, Norwood. Come early, stay late, no problems. Be aware, Westover Pkwy is devided by a brook, so if all you see are odd numbered houses, you can go either way to get to the even side of the road.

Count me in.

I thought my previous commitment would keep me from being able to attend but it got scheduled early in the evening so I think I can get there by 8:00. I presume there will still be people around. I guess I'll plan to bring a desert like brownies or something since I'll be late.

Knowing this crowd, I think your presumption is correct.

The social director has other plans for me on this date.

You didn't leave a moment too soon. We got to the "sacrifice" part of the evening and it turns out we're pretty short on virgins these days.

Good seeing everyone! Great food, but now I'm getting really itchy to get back in the water, and we're still years from all this snow and ice melting. Where's that global warming I was promised???

Waldorf salad

4 unpeeled, cored red apples, diced
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 cup diced celery
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1 cup (or less) mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sharp prepared mustard
Salt, pepper to taste
Baby spinach, washed & dried
1/2 cup chopped filberts or walnuts


Put apples in serving dish & sprinkle with lemon
Add celery & cheese
Mix mayonnaise, mustard, salt & pepper
Add to apple mixture & refrigerate 1 hour to blend flavors
Serve on baby spinach & sprinkle with nuts

Enjoy.

Brownies

Ingredients:
Dry:
• ½ cup all purpose flour
• 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
• ¼ tsp baking powder
• ¼ tsp salt
Wet:
• ½ cup vegetable oil
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 eggs

Oven at 350

Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.

Beat wet ingredients.

Slowly add dry ingredients to mix.

Put in greased pan and sprinkle with marijuana chocolate bits.

Bake for 24 min.

Teriyaki Chicken Wings


3 lbs. chicken wings (split, w/ tips removed)
1/2 C. vegetable oil
1/2 C. soy sauce
1/6 C. molasses
3 cloves of garlic, chopped finely
1 small onion, chopped finely
1 Tbsp. dry mustard
1 Tbsp. Accent

Combine all marinating ingredients and mix well.
Place chicken and marinating mixture in an air tight container,
and shake well. Store in refrigerator and let marinate for at least 24 hours,
shaking occasionally during that time.
Arrange chicken in a single layer, in a baking dish, and cover with all the marinade.
Bake in a 375 degree oven for 90 minutes, turning at half time.

Enjoy.

Thanks for putting the get together, together. I really enjoyed watching the slide show and the food was great. Wish I could have stayed a little longer but I was a "we" that night.
