I plan to be there and stay for PPR.

If I'm not at the beach when you get there, I got there early and am taking a spin around the harbor...will swing back at 6:00.

............Or Norm might be hiding just so he can spray you all using huge water guns! Sue might be there to assist him. Watch out everybody! We have seen this show before!

I'll be there for kayaking and PPR (and might bring my watergun in self defense).

Would love to start doing this again, but sold my Tsunami last summer so now I just have recreational kayaks. Would probably look pretty dumb out there with one of those.

I just found out that I will have a fairly newbie with me. She paddled several times with me last year. If she is not keeping up don’t feel that you have to slow down for her. I will drop off and she and I will continue at her pace.

A few pictures from a perfect weather Thursday night in Hingham. A little choppy but not much boat traffic to worry about. A big turnout - I think the total was 15 at the start but a few chose to stay in the inner harbor while 13 went around Bumpkin.

Here are 2 shots of Ron and Mary with their bows up on a wave and then crashing into a trough, Bumpkin in the background. This was Mary's first time in a sea kayak in choppy water, I believe, and she did fine.

The group gathering up for a moment near Bumpkin before heading back toward the harbor.

Soon after leaving the shade of Bumpkin, the size of the chop is a little more visible in this picture.

This trimaran sailboat snuck up on us and I didn't hear it till it was almost past us. Nice to see the skipper has a life jacket on.

We crossed paths with this party boat that must have been chartered because it picked up the people in Hingham Harbor where you don't normally see these boats.

I think Bea did a video of this boat to capture the music.

A big crowd (11) stayed for PPR at Stars. Chip, who is on the disabled list, showed up for PPR also.

Hopefully this string of good weather on Thursday nights will last through the whole season this year.

What a beautiful night, an excellent group of people, and as
always a great report and pictures.

Mary,
You did excellent in the Andromeda. Not a boat for a beginner,
especially in choppy water.
Great job.
Isn't kayaking a great addiction?

Thanks for the pictures, Norm. It was a great night... lots of helpful information from everyone on improving my kayaking skills. Such a good group of people!

Tracy,
Special thanks to you for the Andromeda!!!. I had SUCH a blast in that boat, and I would NEVER have gone past the harbor without it. You made my night!!! :D :D :D

See you next week.
