Jordan

Post by norm »

I got a call from Jordan on my way to work this morning. It sounds like his knee surgery went well but they didn't get started till later than scheduled yesterday. He only got about an hour of sleep and couldn't get comfortable sitting around in the bed. They plan to release him to go home this afternoon.

I'm glad he called me and happy to hear the operation went well. Just thought I'd share the good news.

To one of my mentors.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Will you be practicing rolls with one knee till full recovery?

Thanks all, I hope once the swelling subsides I can get to work and get back as fast I can.

Hope you all take advantage of the warm conditions and keep your season going for as long as you can.

Have a safe weekend.

Hey Jordan,
I'm glad to hear your surgery went well.

Does this mean you'll be hitting the slopes with Bea and I this winter.

Jordan,

Being bed-ridden must be horrible the last couple of days!
What's worse:
Not being able to find a comfortable position for your knee?
Political ads every single commercial break?
Hurricane Sandy coverage every second of the day except when the political commercials are on?
Listening to stuff flying around outside and not being able to go see what it was?

Hopefully you've got a good book to read or DVDs to watch.

Hi All,

Thanks for all good thoughts. I am hoping not only to get back into my dry suit and boat ASAP, I plan on using my new ski boots and will be Tracey & Bea's Ski Boy :D Probably will dawn the snow shoes first........ Great meds allow for delusions of athetecism

I'm already working hard to get back.

Keep paddling all!

Talking about skiing. One thing we can do is to book a mid-week stay&ski package at AMC's Highland Center in the White Mountains just a few minutes down the road from Bretton Woods and Mount Washington Hotel. The Highland center has comfortable accommodations, deliscious home made food and several wintersports options (snow shoeing, winter hiking, x-country and down hill skiing).

Here is a public facebook link to a photo album I made from The Highland center last winter. We skied Attitash and Bretton Woods, but Cannon is not that far away.

Happy to hear you have invested in new skiboots Jordan. Speedy recovery so you can test them out in a few weeks.

Cannon used to be one of my favorite ski destination for a day trip. Always loved the local weather system of the Notch. You could be skiing in snow all day at Cannon, and Waterville was in bright sunshine :D

Working hard to get into my winter gear!
