Happy New Year!

We survived the Mayans and the Fiscal Cliff. Now if we can just survive whatever Mother Nature throws at us on Washburn, we should have a great paddling season!

I bought a rain suit, a second tarp, longer tent stakes and a new stove. I'm staying on Washburn come hell or high water this year! No more portaging for me! My knees bothered me the rest of the summer last year.

Happy New Year!

Norm, when we said you had to carry ALL the boats across, we were kidding, but then when you actually went and did it...
