Kayak supports

Post by josko »

I'm trying to find some kayak supports for when I'm working on it, the kind that look like directors chairs without a backrest. I'm striking out at places like NRS, Amazon and Google. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and where to buy it?

I made a stand from pvc pipe and some webbing, I could give you the measurements if you want. I use it for rinsing off the kayak. Folds flat when not in use.

Briggsy - I'd like the measurements and what size pipe you used when you get a chance. And where is a good place to get the webbing material?

Thanks,
Norm

It looks like a standard kayak tie-down strap.

Heres the measurements.....
I don't know how I arrived at those numbers, but I had some pipe left over from a plumbing project and used some of that so I guess that may have been the deciding factor !
The straps are 2" webbing I already had but Tie down straps would work fine I guess. Pipe is 1 1/2".

Thanks for the measurements, as I have some left over stock myself. Now I know what to do with it!
