How to buy a new boat

Re: How to buy a new boat
Try as many as you can. I am sure most here would let you try their boat. Charles River, Billington Sea and other dealers will let you demo. I am sure people here can steer you to some options if you know what features you are looking for. Expedition, play boat, Speed, all around.

I had a good experience recently with Charles River Paddle and Canoe. Tried out a number of boats (they let you demo just about anything for 15min at a time). Ended up with new Tiderace Xcite - great boat!

Ken - it doesn't matter what kid of boat you buy as long as it's yellow!

Thx Steve.
She is fast and a lot of fun, had her out last weekend in the harbor.
Still trying to think of a name for her.

I was at CRPC today. I too tried 6 boats by the end of the day. I did not try the Tiderace Xcite but did try a Tiderace Xplore-S Classic, it is Bright SAFTY ORANGE, .
It is good to hear that someone else believes in the TrideRace product.

Norm, If I do buy a yellow boat, don't you worry I can turn it BLACK or Blue.

Ken, you're a pretty lean guy, you might actually be a little small for this boat. Regardless, try it out before you move on it.
If it is a good fit, it has a pretty sleek and fast hull shape. Looks like it has Greenland heritage too.
Good Luck!

Have fun, Ken! Let me know if you want me to bring the Cetus MV to Hanson Thursday. Otherwise I will probably bring my plastic Tempest to play in.
