Anybody know the put-in location for following area?
I plan to kayak in Cape next week but I heard it may need the local resident sticker to park in some area.
Cotuit: West bay/Cotuit Bay/North Bay.
Barnstable: Sandy neck Bay
Little Pleasant Bay
Thanks

Jordan,
That is an incredible resource that I will use on a regular basis. It even has two of my secrete favorite spots in NH and one in Maine.

For Cotuit Bays use Prince Cove Marina run by the town of Barnstable, they charge you $8 for parking at a kiosk there run by college kids and there is a restroom you can use.

For Sandy Neck, This ramp and parking has always been free in the summer, I am assuming it still is this year.Just make sure you are not against the tide at mid tide leaving or returning thru that channel unless you like a workout. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=400+cente ... 02675&z=16
OUT OF SEASON, this is a great landing for Sandy Neck...

For Pleasant Bay this small lot is free, in fact I was there today.

or take your pick from these (no fees for any as far as I know)...

Low tide in Little Pleasant Bay can be tricky with many sandbars and there are sometimes plenty of confusing and wild choppy waves at the new break just east of Strong Island. I don't know what type of kayak you have but folks are rescued from Pleasant Bay every year. They go out in 9ft rec boats and if the wind picks up (as it does in the afternoons) they get swamped and sink. I was out there today and NEEDED a sprayskirt. Somedays of course its dead flat! Who knows?
Have fun and let me know if you need more Cape Cod info.....I live here!
