Hingham 8/29

Post by kayakerjnj »

I'm planning to go tomorrow.

While I'm still not sure if I'll be early tomorrow or not, daylight is fading. Sunset is 7:22 PM, I'd suggest adjusting the launch time accordingly and or bring some lighting.

Please RSVP for PPR. I'll make reservations for 7:45 PM

Cheers!

With the daylight situation, I'll try to get there early. At least 5:30, maybe 5:00.

I should be there to paddle if work doesn't get in the way. Not sure if I can get there as early as usual, but should be there before 5:30.

I may skip PPR this week.

I'm going to watch the fog on this - the forecast changed this morning - the last few days have been so fogged in, with visibility being only a couple of feet that paddling has been out of the picture. I'll repost this afternoon.

Work is getting in the way of my play time.

It is with great sadness that I must pass on this afternoon.

Have fun all.

Work is crazy and the weather here isn't nice enough for me to tell them where to take their job.

Have a fun paddle.

It's funny - a little before 5:30, we were all standing on the beach with the boats still secured on car racks. To the east was a strong wind coming off of unfriendly water, and darkish clouds that looked like they were just waiting for us to get a few hundred yards off shore before letting loose. To the west was Stars with warm food and cold beer. But we finally said awscrewitt and got into the water. Once in the boats, all was well. Nothing dropped from the clouds, and with the wind coming from the ocean, we paddled into it on the way out when we were fresh and had it at our backs for the trip back. And the food was still warm once we made it to Stars. A nice night out.
