I vote for paddling around Monponsett Ponds again. There's a 70% chance it won't be raining according to weather underground and Ken R. is probably not going to be there, so that reduces the chance of rain. At least the air temps look encouraging - around 60 degrees. Might need headlamps on the water this time though, no full moon. Shoot for 4:30pm again?

Not sure where we should go for PPR since the Inn and Venus 3 have not had great service lately. Maybe head down to route 106 and check out Bellas 2 or Grille 58?

I'll planning to be there! Last night, has to hold me till early March 2014 for my Thursday afternoon fix!

Open to wherever folks would like to go for PPR.

We should try figure it out and post ahead of time, so those who might be joining us only for PPR, will know where the flock is gathering :D

I'm in for both. Any place for PPR is fine by me, but agree with Jordan that we probably should agree on a place and post it here in case others wants to join us. If for some reason we stick with Monponsett or Venus, then I would vote for Venus. The food at Monponsett has been pretty

My vote is for V3 unless there's a convenient tastier alternative.

Fortunately, it doesn't look like it should be busy tomorrow night if the things at Fenway continue

I'm planning on both paddle and PPR. As this will probably be the last Thursday PPR I vote for Venus III and no surprises. Everyone is familiar with the location should they be arriving late.

Rant

Post by pat »

I can't make it tonight, but I just wanted to chime in to ask the musical question... Why does it take so freakin' long for the waitress to bring that first round of drinks? And it's not just Monponsett with this problem. Stars seems to take forever, too. When Sue and I go out for dinner, our drink order typically arrives maybe two minutes after we put in the order. When we go out en masse, it's often over ten minutes. And it's not like we're ordering lots of complex mixed drinks with garnishes, umbrellas and curly straws. We order draft beers, soft drinks and water. Maybe when the waiter first arrives, we should announce that 80% of his tip depends on the time it takes to get that first round in front of us. So hop to, it buddy! Clock is tickin'.

Sounds like the consensus is Venus 3. That's fine with me also.

I have a campus-wide meeting about the future direction of the company's desktop product scheduled from 2:30 to 3:15. There is a possibility that it might go longer. I don't want to miss it in case they talk about the reasoning behind the announced layoff of another 3000 people scheduled for mid-December. I'm curious to hear if my group's product is included in the desktop product plans.

So, if I'm not at the put-in by 4:30 and you're all ready to go, take off without me and depending on how late I am, I'll decide whether to put in and search for you or just wait for PPR.

Hi Everyone.

Venus 3 is fine.
Do you have an idea about what time you'll be arriving for PPR.

I have a zumba class in E. Bridgewater from 6:30 to 7:30 and would like to join in for
PPR, but won't bother if this conflicts with the time you guys will be sitting down to order.
If its close and one of you don't mind ordering for me, that works, too.

I think I can make PPR (Come to think of it, is it still PPR if there's no paddling involved?) I just saw this today, and my boat's not on the car.

Can somebody please post the time to shoot for at Venus III? 630?

I flukned my 4* assesment on Sunday, so might need a little shoring up. :)
