First Hingham Thursday Night Paddle?

Post by norm »

Looks like the weather forecast for Thursday is pretty nice and air temps may reach the 60's. It may be a little early to start the Thursday night paddling since the water temps are still only about 40 degrees. But, for those with proper cold water gear that can get to Hingham at about 4:30, does anyone want to give it a try this week?

High Tide this Thursday is at 9:08pm and sunset is at 7:19pm, so I think we'd want to be on the water by 5:00pm at the latest.

If nobody is interested, I might just head over to the Charles River after work instead and get in the way of the rowers...

Should be fun! Winds will be cranking Thursday.

Guess I'll see if my new boss is as flexible as his predecessor :?

See you there!

I am going to plan on being there tomorrow unless work gets in the way.

PPR is always at Stars when we're in Hingham. It's pretty much right across the street from the boat ramp parking lot.

Will Melissa be coming too? Sounds like we're getting a big enough group that reservations might be in order. I think we're up to about 9 if the 4 paddlers, Tracey, Ken and Kit, Josko and Melissa all show up for PPR.

Anybody else want to join the crowd?

Four of us paddled. Little water but plenty of wind. Seven for PPR. Food was good.

Paddle duration was 1:45. Distance was 4.8 nautical miles. See the GPS track below for where we went. It was nice exercise.

Great to see everyone last night!

We were not lacking for fresh air, as it was blowing pretty steadily :D

Someone at work said, "it must be spring, its Thursday and Jordan has his kayak on his car." :D
