Everglades Challenge Documentary

Post by Birdseye »

Most of you have probably heard of the Everglades Challenge, a 300 mile small boat race from Fort Desoto to Key Largo Florida. After last year's challenge author Warren Richey (Without a Paddle) put together a 90 minute documentary on it that really gives you a feel for what this race is all about. If you have 90 minutes to sit in front of your computer I would highly recommend watching it. Or if you have a smart TV you may be able to watch it on the big screen in your living room.

If you do get a chance to watch it, post here and let us know what you thought.

Nelson, finally finished watching....awesome. I now have a place down in Sarasota and have probably paddled half the route in various sections as daytrips including the Wilderness waterway in the everglades.
When you check the watertribe website they also have a short 35hr/62mile race which is from Fort Desoto to Checkpoint 1 and runs the same time as the EC. Would be a good start one year.
PM me if you are interested.
