Hingham - 9-18

Post by pat »

I haven't seen a thread started about this, so here it is. I haven't been to the last couple of Hingham paddles, so I definitely want to make this one. Sun's setting so early, it makes it tricky.

I'll try to get there in time to paddle at 5:00 if that works out for anyone. I know there are some that will have already been around Bumpkin twice by that time, but it's as early as I can make it.

Pat
I will be there by 5:00 for you.
As you know high tide is at approx. 8:00 pm and sunset a 6:49.
Temps mid to high 60's so still will have some time to enjoy out there.

Me too. I'll probably be there around 4:30 pm to be ready to paddle at 5:00 pm.

Bea, you have a Chillcheater spray skirt, right? If so, could you bring it with you? I'm about to buy one, and I want to try one on for size. I'm getting the adjustable waist in either the s/m or l/xl, but their sizing is a little difficult to understand, so I'd like to actually try one.

Pat - I have the next size up from Bea, so if hers is obviously too small, I can let you try mine which is the l/xl. I have another skirt I can use...

I'm planning to arrive at 4:30 today.

Yes, Pat, I have the Chillcheater skirt. I'll bring both of my sprayskirts, that way you can try the Chillcheater on the water if you like. I love everything about that sprayskirt. It keeps me much drier than the snapdragon, and it is less bulk. The only negative is that it is really tricky to secure around the cockpit edge. I hope it gets easier after I have used it a few times. Mine is brand new.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I really don't need to paddle with it; just briefly try it on for size. I'm mostly interested for the rolling aspect. I'm not unhappy with my Snapdragon for normal paddling.

Sorry, it didn't sound like anyone was interested, so I've already shipped it back.
