Coach seeking work

Post by Luke B »

Hey Folks,

Sorry to bother your forum but I wondered if you could be some help.

I'm a Brit, UKCC level 2 and with a few years experience, who is looking to spend the summer around Boston but to afford this I would really need to work over there. Does anyone know of a kayak school or club nearby who would potentially need a coach?

Also if I do get over it would be great to have a paddle with some of you guys stateside :)

All the best,

Luke

The obvious places to ask would be Osprey kayak in Westport http://ospreyseakayak.com/, Charles River Canoe and Kayak, http://paddleboston.com/, the Kayak Centre in Wickford http://www.kayakcentre.com/ and maybe Cape Cod Kayak, http://www.capecodkayak.com/ Eastern Mountain Sports http://www.ems.com/ and LLBean http://www.llbean.com/ are large outfitters who also offer guided trips and instruction.
They all offer kayaking instruction, but would probably be looking for BCU coach 3 and higher quals.
