Hingham this Thursday?

Post by norm »

Is it time to start paddling in Hingham on Thursday evenings?

Tide is high at 8:37pm this week, the 28th of May.

What do people think?

I thought we have Skills scheduled for this week?

We missed last Thursday for Hingham (for me, I had to work late).

Please look over the tide schedule and see if it lines up better to do Hingham. I could be wrong. That happens all the time.

No, you're not wrong. But you were wrong about being wrong.

Am I right?

Now that we have decided that this week is Hingham, the big question is: what is the target time to launch?

Shall we say 5:00pm?

Hi Guys,

Don't mean to mess up everyones plans.

I have made arrangements with Chris to do some skills tomorrow in Hanson, and I just want everyone to be aware
if this is something you would have more interest in.

So if anyone is interested, it is also a skills night.

I know that Joy is interested and plans on attending.

Any other takers?

I just heard from Briggsy who is planning to come to Hingham tomorrow to scout the area for a future navigation class that he is planning to offer. So, there will be a few of us in Hingham tomorrow. We plan to arrive at 4:00pm since he is coming from the cape and is likely to want to get an early start home.

The weather forecast is for high winds of 17mph, so I would recommend that if you're not ready for that this early in the season, Hanson might be a better option this week. Not trying to discourage anyone, just sharing the info.

Canceling for Hingham tonight. 50% chance of thunderstorms as well as 16mph winds. Too much chance of bad weather for Briggsy to make the trip up here this week, so I'll join the crowd over in Hanson and work on my off-side roll tonight.
