Re: Hingham Thursday June 7th
I may try to make it to Hingham this week if I can get out of work early enough and if I can get my boat onto my car. Got a bit of a problem with arthritis bothering me lately and not completely sure I can lift my boat onto the roof. I guess I could just hook up the trailer...if the lights still work...

Got a lot on my plate, but also kayaking on my mind, so will try and make it.

Four of us paddled in Hingham on the 7th - Joy, Eileen, Romaine and Norm.
It was a bit windy once we got away from the beach - wind blowing out, so return was going to be hard. Plan was to go around World's End.
There was an interesting sky all evening with light beams coming through the clouds. I don't think a picture does it justice, but here is the best shot I got of the sunbeams:
On the far side of World's End in the calm water:

Sorry Romaine, didn't get a good picture of you.
Overall it was a good start to the Hingham season - seems to be a late start, but at least some of us got out there. One good thing is that the water is pretty warm now, so it was pleasant paddling even though the air temp was probably only in the high 60s.
