Great report, fantastic pics Pat.
Questions. How did you turn around so far to take that one picture of the Gang Of Three?
Where those really hotdogs? If so, I would have turned them down along with Nelson.
What feelings did you experience along with passage into Manhood? I look forward to it.

Actually, I didn't. I have a very wide-angle lens on my camera, so I just have to aim it in the general direction (without looking through the view finder), and then level it and crop in the guys in Photoshop.

The water looks a little gross, but bear in mind that you've got the sun reflecting off it, accentuating the fat floating on the surface. Next time you make hot dogs at home, after you take the cooked dogs out of the pan, bring out outside in the sunlight and see if it looks any more appetizing. As far as the dogs themselves go, these aren't the 8-to-a-pack kind. We buy in bulk for the events we have at our campground, and this is what they look like. I honestly don't see what's wrong with them. What do your hotdogs look like?

Much the same as when I was a teenager and it happened. Very exciting, great fun, ended far too quickly, and I can't wait to do it again.

I'll respond to this since I started it all (in jest as always). When I looked at the picture of them sitting there staring up at us from that boiling water I got a bit of a strange feeling in my nether regions.
Actually, I would have loved to have eaten one if I could have (watchin' the cholesterol). They really did look good but I had to settle for a peanut butter sangwich, my staple kayaking food.

I too had a feeling when I looked at those dogs. I'm not sure what part of my body had the feeling, but it was a feeling like, "What the H*** am I looking at? It looks like body parts, and my colleague at work thinks it looks like body parts, but it can't be body parts, can it?"
It was a beautiful day, I wish I was with you, but I went to Vermont and back home on Saturday. Then went to Vermont and back again on Sunday. I saw alot of yaks on cars though.

Stephen, if you can wait till next year, I'd love to do it with you. I'd especially like to camp there. There's a lot of places to kayak in that area. It actually might be a good idea to try to plan something at a time when there might be fewer power boats. Either slightly off-season or on a weekday.
