FYI Necky Ratchets

I don't know if this affects anyone else, but while we were at the kayak center, we got the free upgrade for the back strap ratchets. The stock ratchets in the 2005 were just lifted from Necky's whitewater line, and they sucked. Mine had already corroded so badly it was slipping all the time. So, if anyone else is having this problem, your dealer has a lovely new strap assembly waiting for you. I only got as far as "ratch . ." and the kid was handing me the upgrades. They went in pretty easy, and even if the old ones weren't rusting out, I like the new strap better anyway, more clearance around the cockpit, and they are pretty simple to adjust. I think Craig had mentioned the free upgrade, I just hadn't gotten around to picking it up. All plastic, no rust, sweet!
