Anyone up for a paddle Saturday 22rd?

Post by Johnysmoke »

High tide is at 8am, so I was thinking of heading out of Hull gut to the Brewsters, maybe Georges, and a few others. Maybe even hit the Graves if feeling ambitious. Leave around 10am or so...

Open to other paddling suggestions as well.

John, if you're still thinking of going, I'm definitely up for this. It should be a beautiful day. Can you confirm and post a specific location for the start? There may be a regular put in at Hull, but as I can get lost out of the driveway, I need directions! THX!

Smoke-I'm in. See you at the High School at 9:30ish.

Barb- You will get to the put in by going to the Hull High School, at the end of the Hull Penisula. You can get there by taking Rt. 228. If you were to head south on Rt. 3a from the Hingham Harbor area, you will come to Rt. 228 after a couple of miles. Take your left and keep driving.

This one could be a gem. We had a spectacular day doing this route several months ago...and we did make it out to the Graves. Might try to join you, but don't wait for me if I'm not there on time.

This one's always a good trip, sorry I cannot make it.

Well, not really sorry.... will be in Maryland for my son's wedding.

See you all next weekend.

Well, so much for that. :?

I won't be joining you tomorrow, much as I'd like to. Places to go, things to do, fish to fry etc...according to a calendar that I should have consulted before jumping in.

Alas.

PS: Congratulations Kate!!! Wow...bet there aren't too many mothers-in-law hereabouts who can do Greenland rolls. :P

All the best to the bride and groom...along with all those other in-laws. :D

I know you guys are all experienced and everything, but be prepared for fog. I was out paddling along Carson Beach in Southy this afternoon when the fog rolled in at about 4:00pm and it got so thick you could not see 500 yards. I didn't see anything in the marine forecast about fog for Friday afternoon, but they do mention it for tonight and tomorrow. Be careful out there - I still have a lot to learn from all of you guys!

It's good you didn't miss me. Last minute family issues caused me to miss the trip and head to VT. It would have been great to be with you, but hopefully next time.
