Wild Turkey Paddlers

There was discussion at Hanson last Thursday when it was drizzly and cold that maybe we should do Hanson again on October 2nd rather than going to Hingham. Does everybody agree that we should do Hanson this week???

There was also discussion that we should all just "suck it up" and put on our dry-wear gear and roll even if the water is cold. It would be good practice to try rolling with more gear on anyway for those of us who have not done that yet. For those that want to compete in the roll-off, I guess they could strip off all that extra clothing for the one minute of rolling. Note that if you take off too much (Bea), the counting may get confused and the video-tape may need to be referenced to get the count right and then be X-rated. We don't want any double counting. Or....maybe we do?

A few also expressed that the "roll-off" competition is not as important to them as it is to continue improving their current skills before the water gets too cold and we have to start paying for pool time. So let's honor their wishes and let them work in peace.

So, chime in and express your preference for where to go this Thursday. I'm going to Hanson.

Yep, barring a total pond "freeze-over"...we will be there with bells on, er, I mean
tuliks on!

I'll be there.
I don't have to worry about dry wear.
Or taking layers off for that matter. I would scare any turtles that haven't gone into hibernation.

I'm going to be there around 4:30. I would imagine 5 would be a good time to get there to watch

Hi Chip,

Some of us have been getting to Hanson as early as 2:30-3:00.
By 5- 5:30 we have been getting out and going over for an earlier PPR.
It would be nice to have you join us, and I would even stay and buy you a beer.

5:30 pm works for me. I'll be coming from home though, since I am not one of the brave souls rolling around in the water...

Roll-off postponed until 2015. Maybe we can do some Monponsett trips on Hanson nights.
