Skills 8/3

Post by kayakerjnj »

Hi All,

Skills tomorrow!

Who's coming? Hanson or Canton?

Please let us know your what your preference is. If no one from RTE 3 South area is coming I will opt for Canton, otherwise we'll be in Kiwanee.

Have a good day!

Hey Jordan!

Thanks for the post. Our preference would be Canton, but either would work. This time of year it seems that Hanson is very crowded. Either way the water will feel great! S

I don't think I'll be able to attend this week. Would have been nice since I fixed my skeg problem, but I need to work late this Thursday.

I'll suggest we designate tomorrow's skills take place in Canton.

PPR I'll let those who may be attending chime in for their thoughts.

My brother and I were planning on going tomorrow, but don't think we will at the Canton location...

I would prefer Hanson myself.

Happy to make it Hanson for tomorrow.

Its helpful to know who's coming earlier rather than later in the week.

See you tomorrow.

Thanks, Jordan. See you at Hanson tonight.

If I have time today I'll try and pack some left over gear I no longer need. So I will most likely have a gear "give-away" tonight. Not sure what I'll be able to pull out, but I know I have:

MITA 2016 trail guide book
Large drybags (great for boating but too big for kayaking)
French press coffee maker (great for camping, but too clunky for kayak-camping)
A spare paddle (too heavy, but makes a great spare paddle for emergency)
Other "stuff"

Looks like Hanson is the "go to" place tonight. Boat already loaded and ready to go. I'll try and get there earlier tonight.
