Here is the link to the trip report for my recent excursion to the Bay of Fundy. In some ways it was an easy trip, in some ways there were unexpected challenges. The Bay of Fundy definitely came through with lots of current. Lots. Also whales (no photos, sadly) and a rich diversity of sea life.

Wonderful trip. Please enjoy the photos!

Oh my goodness, what a beautiful travelogue! You had me on pins & needles while you were 'in the fog'! Lovely job - I have many favorite photos!

Oh my god - what a report! Truly spectacular photos.

I think the hardest thing for me on a trip like that would be seeing all those incredible views and having no one to yell "LOOK AT THAT!!" to.

This trip report was brought to you by....

;)

Thanks, Kate!

All I heard was, this will be an easy, laid-back trip. No worries.

Little did I know.

Are you talking about Kate's trip or the Jordan & Norm's?

That's why I write the reports - it's my shout of "LOOK AT THAT!!"

And yes, TJ's is THE place to shop for camping food. They have a great selection of pre-cooked or almost-cooked meals, for cheap.

Wow! Dora the Explorer certainly proved her name to be correct on this trip with you! Astounding that fresh, sealed water just happened to arrive when you needed it. Thank you so much for sharing this beautifully documented trip! ...I do believe that I detected a grin on Dora's bow more than once in your pictures... :-D

Kate,

Phil shared with me his suggestion that you should submit this trip report to Ocean Paddler. I TOTALLY agree with him. When are you going to send it to them? I look forward to seeing it published in an upcoming issue!!!!

Aw you two. Just take a look at the back issue indices - "Nigel Foster's Encounters - Polar Bears", "Circumnavigating North Scotland", "Across the Arctic Circle", "Cape Horn", etc etc.

I think my little trip isn't quite of that caliber. But I love that you want to see it there. (Trader Joe's probably wouldn't mind it either.)

You are too modest Kate. I seem to recall a story in a recent issue about two guys paddling north of Stonington, no? They are looking for quality writing and quality photos and you have both! Plus the angle of a solo woman doing the trip... Don't undersell your talents!

Awesome Report Kate!!

I believe the type of bird you were asking about is a Killdeer. It's a type of plover.
