This was Alice's trip, but since I took plenty of pictures, I'm going to take the liberty to write a trip report. Hope you don't mind Alice.
Alice first posted this trip on May 23rd and after a few delays and rescheduling, it finally happened on June 26th. It was a bit of a rough start on the 26th as the Cohasset waterfront was shut down by a triathlon. Depending on which policeman you ran into at road blocks, you may or may not have been able to drive to the town boat ramp. I ended up launching at the Cohasset Inn and paddled over to meet everyone else at the boat ramp.
Six people started the trip: Alice, Andy, Linda, Kate, Tim and Norm. Since the weather was so calm, it was decided to head straight out to Minot Light immediately.
Kate and Linda lead the way with Strawberry Point in the background.
Kate, Linda and Tim with Minot Light in the background. The tide was falling and waves were crashing over the rising rocks all day.
Kate leading the race out to the light with Linda close behind.
Kate zigs right to avoid the swells and shoals on the left.
Nobody considered trying to touch the light with the size of the swells rolling in.

Andy
After we sat out near the light for a few minutes enjoying the rise and fall of the swells, we headed back toward a cove at Strawberry Point for a quick landing and transfer of keys so Andy could leave us and head back to the boat ramp.

Tim and Andy on their way in to the cove.
Heading south to the Minot Beach area.

We decide to play amongst the rocks.

We start playing follow the leader through the rocks with Kate leading the way.
A close-up shot of the patriotic rock.
A view of the passage we weaved our way through.
Kate saying: "That was fun huh? Lett's do it some more."
Tim and Alice are ready.
Here we go again.
Even the birds start following Kate.
Alice and Linda waiting for the right timing of the swells through the shallows.
Here they go.
More cormorants on rocks.
Still playing follow Kate.
After a while we stopped for lunch at Minot Beach. We climbed up on the rocks.
Alice, Linda, Kate and Tim.
Our view out to Minot Light from our lunch rocks.
Looking down at our boats from the lunch rocks. I thought the beach was pretty crowded considering it was low tide.
After lunch, we headed over to Little Harbor. Kate played with trying to paddle in, but the water was flowing out too hard.
Kate does a turn in the current.
Linda gives it a try.
Then Alice.
Then Tim.
We headed out and around this rock with lots of birds and a little grass on it.
Heading back into Cohasset Harbor.
Boats lining the Cohasset Harbor channel with people playing on the sandbar behind the boats.
Kate paddling past a nice sailboat.
Back to the Cohasset town boat ramp.
I accidentally shut of my GPS on this trip, so I don't have a track to share or mileage statistics like I usually do.
Thanks for a great trip Alice.
