Last Wednesday, May 7th, I decided to take a paddle around Long Pond in Freetown/Lakeville.
I put in shortly after 1:00 p.m. and, as you can see from the first few videos, the conditions were very calm.
Since there was almost no wind, I decided to paddle counter clockwise around the perimeter of the pond.
When I reached the Northwest corner of the pond, I paddled a short distance down the section that leads to the Lakeville reservoir on the other side of route 105.
As I reentered the main body of Long Pond, I realized that conditions had significantly changed. Actually, this GoPro video doesn’t reflect just how badly things had deteriorated.
I managed to paddle the entire perimeter and logged 10.5 miles – good workout!
Enjoy,
Dave

Nice Job! The chop was pretty good in the last one. I saw the white cap and thought "yes!".
