Tiny Trip Report - Scorton's Creek, Sandwich

You can park here, on the Cape, for free. No, really.
It's about a 1-mile paddle to open water.
If you turn right, there are sand dunes and lots of beach and then Sandy Neck Park. Which is sand dunes and lots of beach.
Waves were 1 to 3. Inches.
I didn't make it all the way to Barnstable Harbor. I was okay with that.
I took a break on the sand dunes and lots of beach. Then started back.
Wind picked up (head wind, of course). Waves were 1 to 2. Feet.
Full ebb on the tide chart does not mean full ebb at Scorton's Creek. Not even close.
After a lengthy my-god-look-at-the-current-STILL-running-out-of-that-creek lunch stop at the mouth of the Creek, it was just barely almost not possible to paddle upstream to get to the car.
Wheel-eeze are the best invention since wax lips.

One of the very first WTP trips was Scorton's creek, but we went in the other direction. A very different sort of trip.

Yes, secret even from me, until I got there and did it. I thought it wise to try the trip first, be sure there was parking, etc., before dragging anyone else into it.
