Charles River paddle Sunday May 7th 2017

Post by NorwayLady »

Ken R posted a Charles River paddle on the forum. Diane and I joined him on a beautiful paddle that took us from Soldiers Field road in Allston, down past the Museum of Science, through the locks and in to the Boston Harbor. It was a beautiful spring day with cool temps and a brisk southerly wind. We paddled at a comfortable pace with plenty of time to soak in all the sites. Bostonians were enjoying the day and there was plenty of activity on and off the river. Sailboats, crew teams and duck tours shared the river, and on the river banks people of all ages were walking, biking, running or just relaxing in the sun. We were on the water from noon until 4:30 pm, covering a distance of 13 miles with a quick snack break to stretch our legs. A great day. Thank you, Ken R!

Below is the public link to photos I took. Enjoy.
