Necky Looksha IV DS kevlar composite
Dark Green/Red over white
It has little use and has been stored inside, Bottom in good shape. front and rear storage hatches, and deck lashing. Rear Drop skeg, compass mounting flat, adjustable seat and seat back.
The Looksha IV has low profile decks, double hard chines, and a rockered hull. The rocker and chines combine to create a very maneuverable design which responds to the paddler's every move. With rock solid secondary stability, the boat is reassuringly predictable when put on a lean, and carves a turn beautifully. At 17' long and 22" wide the boat has good speed and ample storage for extended touring. When in rough water, the hard chines and ample rocker create a very seaworthy platform. This is where the Looksha IV really shines!
The Necky DS skeg is a heavy aluminum blade that's positioned at the extreme stern of the hull and fits partially into a slot at the upturned end of the keel line. A simple line running through a ring at the stern controls the deployment, which is gravity powered.
This systems is simple, inexpensive, easy to service in the fields and avoids having a skeg box in the most useful part of the stern storage area

Re: Necky Looksha IV DS kevlar composite-for sale
It about 9 years old.
My first boat was a Looksha IV plastic with rudder I then moved to the DS and then to my Millennium. It was my lightest boat but now that I have my CLC shearwater 17 at 41 pounds the Looksha is expendable ( and I need the room!)

Pablo, wish I was in the market for a boat. The Looksha IV is one of my favorite boats. In my opinion it is one of the most versatile kayaks ever made. I have one from the same period back when Necky's craftsmanship was second to none. Love the tribute to the Mexican flag if that's what the colors are about. Great price too. Good luck selling it, somebody will be very happy.

Pablo, your description says "Dark green", but in the photos, the color appears to be a light aqua, approaching sky blue. Are the colors in the photo accurate?

Ok, so now I'm the only person INCLUDING MY WIFE who is still paddling a plastic boat.
Pablo, Thanks for letting Sue try it over the weekend. Check will soon be in the mail.
