Possible trips

Post by johnboy »

Hello to Norm and Pat, Any possible thoughts
about a trip on the upper Charles river and/or
the Neponsit River. I have never been on them,
and i missed the one last fall on the Charles.
thanks John

If this is a trip I could do without a spray skirt I'd like to try.

Thank You,

Hi, looks like i started something good.
Pick one, I have never done them.
could we do this after next week?
we will need a float leader? That's
why i addressed it to Norm or Pat.
Please let me know. Thanks

There are no requirements to be a trip organizer. Find a previous trip on the river you want on the website to get the put ins and take outs, agree on a time and there you go. You are a trip organizer.

Johnnyboy,

I am leaving for vacation this Sunday and will be gone for 2 weeks.
I will have no access to email/internet and I don't have a fancy phone that does
anything but make and take calls!!
I would like to go but will need details. I can leave my cell #, that way anyone can give me an update once
all the details are final.

Let me know,

Thank You,

Donna

Sorry johnboy, everything I'm doing lately is out on the open ocean or on a river that leads out to the ocean. It's too hot for me on rivers these days.

Also, I've adopted an attitude I learned from another Turkey (Linda) that it's not worth putting your boat in the water unless you're going to travel 10 miles or more. Actually, another Turkey (Bea) has appended that attitude to include "if you have to drive over 50 miles to get to the put-in, you need a trip of 15 miles to make it worthwhile".
