Cohasset Saturday 3/17

Post by Johnysmoke »

Was thinking of heading over to Liitle Harbor Saturday morning to play in the outgoing current there, then if conditions are good, head out towards Minot to check out the seals.

Meet 8:20ish on the water by 8:45.

Appropriate cold weather gear and skills for getting out this time of year.

Nah, that's just a normal placid day in early Spring.

It was a great day in Cohasset. John and I went over to Little Harbour to mess around, and then paddled torward the light to see if we could find some seals. Heads started to pop up near the rock piles/others were splashing around. The wind was calm and blowing on shore and the air temp. was perfect for wearing dry suits.
A photographer greeted us at the boat ramp to ask if it would be O.K. to use some pictures he took for one of the local news papers. We mentioned that we were some of the Turkeys and told him a bit about our group. Keep an eye out for us in one of the Cohasset local papers. Kind of cool. Ken

I will need photographic evidence that you guys were at Little Harbor, because I sure didn't find you there.

Mark, Why are you standing in that standing wave ? I didn't think you were that literal. Bring a boat next time. I'll show you mine next time I see you. Ken

Very nice, John. But , that's NOT Little Harbor, now is it? In fact, it looks like you guys were running away from the water not putting in it.
