Wild Turkey Paddlers

I got out on the water with Briggsy, Sue and John down in Chatham yesterday and found that I'm in worse physical shape than last year, so I'd like to do a fairly easy paddle in a protected area Saturday. The forecast has wind at 5-10 knots and temps only in the 40's and the water temp is only about 39. High tide is at about 2:20pm.

I'm figuring arrive at noon and launch by about 12:30. Head into the Duxbury back rivers for a couple of hours if there is any wind or if it's super calm we could head out into Duxbury Bay or around the corner into the Bluefish River Marsh area. Will probably keep the distance under 10 miles and only stay out 3 to 4 hours. Bring a snack and maybe a thermos with a warm drink or soup. Will probably only take one quick break.

Wet exit/Rescue skills are required.
I would recommend at least a 15 foot boat.
Ability to paddle 7-12 miles.
Proper clothing and gear for cold water and air temps required!

But that's OK, we'll accept that paddling is your second choice while there is still snow on the ground after a 2 year drought...

As I am now (kind of) getting use to my new camera and software. I am posting pictures of the shack on an island, in the middle of the salt marsh. Part of it was under water but it still seemed to be used for all sorts of occasions. Let us not be too specific.

I noticed a few fuzzy spots on the left caused by water drops on the lens,,, sigh. Darn machines are SO anal!
